Calling all young stars! get ready to shine on stage with our Musical Theatre Club for children who love to sing, dance and act! At Musical Theatre Club we will have lots of fun learning to tell stories through music and movement. We will learn catchy songs and cool dance moves and will use your imagination to bring characters to life! Don't worry if you've never been on stage before, everyone is welcome and all children will develop their confidence and team work along the way.

Do you adore emersing yourself in the world of storybooks? Do you love to read and listen to stories? Do you treasure the opportunity to draw and to be creative? In Storybook illustrator club, we will listen to stories. We will use our imaginations to think and talk about alternative characters, settings and endings to our weekly shared story. We will use our wonderful drawing skills to represent our ideas.

Step into the world of French language, music, and culture where you will embark on a journey of discovery and learning. Through interactive games and engaging activities, your child will uncover the beauty of the French language. They'll also get to explore the enchanting realm of French music. Explore the rich cultures of France and French-speaking countries. From iconic landmarks to colorful traditions, your child will gain a deeper understanding of the wider French-speaking world.

Step into the world of Spanish language, music, and culture where you will embark on a journey of discovery and learning. Through interactive games and engaging activities, your child will uncover the beauty of the Spanish language. They'll also get to explore the enchanting realm of Spanish music. Explore the rich cultures of Spain and Spanish-speaking countries. From iconic landmarks to colorful traditions, your child will gain a deeper understanding of the wider Spanish-speaking world.

Do you like asking lots of questions? Do you enjoy hands-on learning? If so, get ready for an awesome adventure at Science Club! We will explore new ideas, do fun experiments and learn new things together. You will have a chance to ask and answer scientific questions and find out how things work. We'll mix colourful potions, watch plants grow big and strong and learn through fun games and challenges. Each week you will take part in a different experiment, building your collaboration and team work skills along the way. You will meet new friends who share your curiosity about the world around us and most importantly, have lots of fun!

Our Social Board Games Club is the perfect place for students to socialize, strategize and have fun with a variety of classic and modern board games. Playing board games promotes cognitive skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking and strategic planning. Additionally, board games are great way to make new friends and de-stress from the demands of schoolwork. So, come join us and let’s roll the dice for some exciting adventures!

In Drawing Club this term, we are going to be exploring different skills such as sketching techniques, practicing shading in different ways, and looking at the use of shapes when drawing. We are going to be developing our drawing skills each week and will create a final piece with everything we have learned.

Scratch club enables children to program their own interactive stories and games. In the process, they learn to solve problems, design projects, and express themselves creatively on an ipad. Please note that the app Scratch Jr will need to be downloaded for this club. This is a free app to download.

Wellbeing club is open to children who may need additional time to share their thoughts and feelings in a supported space. Alongside their weekly Wellbeing lesson, they will explore strategies that can help their minds through negative emotions or feelings. Children will have opportunities to discuss, create and take ownership of their minds. They will create their own positive affirmation cards, learn about how the brain responds to positive and negative emotions and demonstrate an understanding of how to be mindful. 

Do you want to feel confident and calm? Do you want to learn different strategies to help you deal with BIG emotions? Then why not join Mindfulness Club? In Mindfulness Club we will use journaling, meditation, yoga, gratitude and crafts as a way to explore our feelings and emotions. Through these activities, you will also develop your resilience and focus. 

Padel tennis is a growing sport within the United Arab Emirates, here at Kings' School Al Barsha we now have our new courts and are inviting you to sign up to join our exciting new ECA. Padle tennis is a mix between Tennis and Squash and most players get the basics within the first half an hour of playing so that they can enjoy the game. The sport is enjoyed by players of all ages and skill levels. It's a great way to improve hand-eye coordination, fitness, and teamwork skills.

We are offering a choice of either Monday or Friday to our Secondary students. However, students can only sign up to 1 session.

A school concert band ECA offers students a creative outlet for their instrumental music interests, provides opportunities for musical and personal development, and contributes to the cultural and artistic life of the school community. It's an enriching and enjoyable extracurricular activity for those who have a passion for playing instruments and making music with others.
