Calligraphy Club

Calligraphy is a beautiful, ancient art form which is still commonly used around the world today. To become an artist or expert in calligraphy, you need to practise word by word, stroke by stroke. In this club, you will join us as a beginner, where you will be introduced to the modern-day use of calligraphy and brush lettering. You will focus on the varied skills around brush pen writing. Brush pen ink does not smear, so it is a valuable learning tool in mastering pressure and letterforms without having to focus on ink moving across the page. Brush pen calligraphy is very helpful for learning dip pen calligraphy and other handwriting styles. Over the weeks, you will build an understanding of the tools used for brush pen writing and the basic brush strokes to create some beautiful writing pieces.
